僕は南川喜之助。この春から実家の家業を継ぐべく親の老舗和菓子屋で勤め始めることになった。全然興味が無かったのに実家に帰る決断をしたのはビジネスセミナーに参加したのがきっかけだった。
就活前の2年生の秋、友達の中尾にセミナーに誘われた。
「南川、今度セミナーがあるんやけど行ってみたらどうな。社会人向けのビジネスセミナーなんやけど、前行ってすごく勉強になったけん。」
「そんなん学生が行ってええのかな。」
「いいんや。申し込んどくけん、空けておいてな。」
当日。恐る恐る行ってみると快く迎え入れてくれて一安心。
「こんにちは。中尾さんと同じ大学の学生さんですか？」
とアシスタントさんに話しかけられた。
「はい、そうなんです。」
「ビジネスを題材にワークするんですけど、何か興味があることはあるんですか？」
「いえ、、特にまだわからないんですけど。」
「お父様はどんなお仕事されてるんですか？」
「実家は和菓子屋なんです。」
「いいじゃないですか！和菓子屋さんをテーマにしてみたら？跡は継がれるんですか？」
「いえ、、僕は、、、」
「南川の実家は老舗の和菓子屋なんですよ。」
「老舗であるからには何か魅力があるんですね。これまでのやり方ではなかなか続けるのは難しい時代ですし、新しい方向性をワークで考えてみるのもおもしろいかも！」
と流れで家業を題材にワークをやってみることになってしまった。
I’m Kinosuke Minamikawa. From this spring, I’ve started to work at my family company for taking over this Japanese traditional confectionary company in near future. I was not interested in that at all before attended the business seminar.
In fall 2years ago, I was a university student and think about the future. A friend of mine Nakao talked to me to go to a business seminar.
‘Minamikawa, let’s go to a seminar together next month. It is for business person, but it was nice for students like us. I’ve joined last time and I felt it was valuable.’
‘Is it OK for students? Are you sure?’
‘Yeah, no problem. I’ll apply for 2 of us. Keep your schedule open for that.’
Then, on that day, we signed up the seminar. The assistant told us welcome.
‘Hi, good to see you. Are you a student same as Mr.Nakao?’ The assistant told to me.
‘Year..’
‘You will study about business in this seminar. Which business are you interested in? Do you have any idea?’
‘No…not specially.’
‘How about your father’s job?’
‘My family business is Japanese traditional confectionary company.’
‘Wow, it sounds nice. Why don’t you think about that?’ Are you going to take over in near future?’
‘Well..I don’ think so right now.’
‘His family company has long history.’ Nakao said.
‘There are something valuable things on your company. Otherwise couldn’t keep the business so long time. It is hard to keep it with nothing new in this situation. You can think a future direction with us in this seminar. That will be interesting for you and your family company.’
So, I selected my family business as a theme.
