南川喜之助のイノベーションストーリー第3話～
僕は南川喜之助。嘉永創業の家業、和菓子屋「嘉永堂」の跡を継ぐことになり、この激動の時代に合ったビジネスにするかトライしていくことになる。そのきっかけになったのはとあるビジネスセミナーに参加したことがモチベーションだ。
新規事業を始めるにあたっての様々な視点を学んだ講義。学生だった僕にはまだ見ぬ社会を垣間見るような話ばかりでとても興味が湧いた。
こんなこと、大学でも勉強できたらいいのになぁと休憩の合間に思っていたとき。
「南川さん、ご実家のサイトすごいですね。」と声をかけられた。
「そうですか？うちは田舎の小さい和菓子屋なんで。」
「全然そんなことないですよ。最近見られましたか？ちゃんとメールオーダーできるようになってるし、専門のスタッフを充ててないとできませんよ。お父様、色々とかんがえてらっしゃるんですね。これでしょ？」
見てみると、数年前から各段にバージョンアップしてる。
地方色は抜けきれないけど、色々と工夫の跡が見える。親父、老舗を守るためにがんばってるんだなぁ、とかなり驚いた。
I’m Kinosuke Minamikawa. I work in my
family company ‘Kaeido’ which started at Kaei and will take over. I need to try
something new to keep our business in this dramatic changing period. I decided
to do so, because of attending the business seminar. That experience is my motive
power.
The consultant told us about points for new
businesses in the seminar. These were so exciting stories for me as a just
university student. Those were real business stories I’ve never known for that
time.
I wondered that students could be taught in
universities during brake time, then the assistant told to me.
‘Mr. Minamikawa, your family company’s web
site is nice.’
‘Is it so? Just a local confectionary.’
‘It is nice, I think. Do you visit the site
recently? It has mail order system and organized. Your father manages full time
staff assigned only for that. Is this your confectionary’s web page, isn’t it.’
I didn’t check for years, the web page was
renewed. It has still local image. But much better now. Dad tries many things
for keep our business. That is big surprise for me.
